I am a longtime lover of fantasy sports. The game about a game. The sickness. The addiction. Call it what you will. My two main focuses have always been (American) Football, and Baseball.
I work in the Web3 space as a project manager and have increasingly found myself drawn to the budding world of GameFi — or NFT-based games. More interesting still are the games that sit somewhere between fantasy sports and crypto.
Then I found SoRare, an epic NFT card game that is actually licensing player and team rights from professional clubs across the world. Fantasy Soccer, known as football to most of the world was never quite my niche, but the excitement of weekly tournaments that held ETH prizes and digital trading cards that you could actually own was undeniable.
